Started the session for level two last evening – it was wonderful to welcome back returning students, and one brand new aspiring diva.   These gals are up for a challenge, so we’re going to work on travel steps, and play with props…I love my job!

Dancer’s Bazaar!   Leave a comment

Hooray!  My favourite type of shopping event is coming up soon.  The semi-annual Dancer’s Bazaar, hosted by Tav-Creations,  will take place on Sunday, October 16th, 2011, from noon till 4 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 260 McArthur Ave.   Parking and admission are free.  Bring a girlfriend, browse to your heart’s content, and be dazzled by the stunning and abundant array of  tempting exotic, fabulous costumes, (new and gently used), jewellery, silk veils, CD’s, instructional DVD’s, beauty products, eco-friendly products by Eco-Tav, raffle prizes, coffee and cookies – and you may even get your fortune told!   Halyma brings together local artisans, teachers, performers, and out of town vendors, who offer for sale everything you can imagine yourself wearing for practice or performance.  Think you can’t afford it?  There’s something for everyone’s budget – from purchasing your very first coin belt to investing in professional level pieces for the stage.   To help keep event costs down, most sales are cash only, and don’t be shy about negotiating for a bargain.   Please contact me if you have any questions or need advice..’cause I’m a shopaholic..Hope to see you there!

Had a wonderful time teaching a four-week course to the ladies at Hunt Club/Riverside Community Centre..big hugs to all…

Summer class at Canterbury is going splendidly.  The ladies are learning a brand new original Siddiqah candle dance choreography.  They’re also getting the bonus benefit of  my fabulous friend Zeevah, who’s co-teaching her dynamic corner-to-corner drills; so we’re all learning great new stuff!

Later this week, I’ll be posting the new fall class schedule, and hope to see you in September.  If you have any questions, just click on “Contact Fat Cat Belly Dance” and I’ll answer your e-mail inquiries asap.  Lots of summer left, so get out and enjoy!!
